Chief Clinical Leader
Jamie Wehmeyer is the Chief Clinical Leader for Resilience Builders, LLC., where she provides consultation and training on Trauma Informed Care and building resilience in staff and clients. She believes organizational change must start with senior leadership. Prior to her work with Resilience Builders, Jamie spent 25 years working in community mental health centers, with most of that time being in management roles. She began her career working with female substance users, where she learned quickly that in order to treat substance use, you must also address the underlying trauma. This has rung true for her throughout her career in the behavioral health field. In her previous position she was the lead in guiding the agency through the process of becoming a trauma informed culture. In addition, personal trauma and experience with various systems including the courts and schools has increased her passion for seeing Trauma Informed Care and resiliency being embraced throughout the community. Jamie received her Masters in Social Work from the University of Kansas and is a Licensed Clinical Social worker.
